La description du public des concerts rock de métal et des consommations de cannabis et d'alcool montre plusieurs types de spectateurs, dont la consommation et la fréquentation des concerts varient fortement selon la plus ou moins grande insertion qu'ils ont dans ce milieu. Les consommations varient aussi selon la place du concert dans la semaine et sa durée et selon la renommée du groupe. Ces différences de consommations sont interprétées comme des moyens de créer de la rupture par rapport à la quotidienneté des jeunes. La nécessité de maîtrise de soi que la société impulse trouve sa contrepartie dans des instances de décontrôle émotionnel. Les concerts de métal en sont une expression, qui réclame parfois l'addition de produits psychoactifs tels que l'alcool et le cannabis pour produire la sortie du contrôle de soi. (Résumé d'auteur.)
ENGLISH :
Through the description of the audience of metal rock performances and of the uses of alcohol and cannabis, we can see some types of public. Each type could be specified by his insertion in the metal culture, the frequency of the concerts and the uses of psychoactive substances. Also, the more the concert is lasting and the more it takes place at the end of the week, the more the uses of substances are important. These differences between the uses of substances are seen as means to create discontinuity in the everyday life. The society demands a strong self control on the young people and they need, in return, occasions to let go of the emotional control. The metal performances are some of these occasions, where the uses of psychoactive substances as alcohol and cannabis are sometimes needed to produce the abandon of self control. (Author's abstract.)
