Résumé :
ENGLISH :
The most commonly used treatment models in Ukraine can be grouped as follows : 1. Detoxification followed by the controlled administration of opiate antagonists like naltrexon (antaxon). 2. Long-term residential programmes like therapeutic community oriented towards producing stable changes in thinking, feeling and personal value systems. 3. Combined in- and out-patient drug-free programmes with counselling and psychotherapy (Minnesota model). 4. Detoxification through buprenorphine injection followed by a short-term counselling programme. 5. Clinically based treatment oriented towards psychopharmacology. 6. Harm reduction model : outreach work, syringe exchange programmes. In this study we evaluated the effectiveness of three programmes : l) Buprenorphine detoxification followed by a short-term counselling programme ; 2) Clinically based treatment organized around a medical centre for HIVIAIDS patients ; and 3) An outreach programme baseb on a drug-users' self-support organization.
