ENGLISH : In the study "Longitudinal Analysis of Drug Abuse" (LADA) a conceptual framework for the prediction of drug consumption and the diagnosis of dependence or abuse according, to DSM-lV was developed and results of the first survey were reported. In the present analysis childhood variables till the age of 10 were assessed as potential predictors for the later drug consumption and for the later diagnosis of addiction. The sample contains 1147 subjects including a sub-sample of 105 subjects without drug consumption as a control group for the prediction of drug consumption. In the prediction of addiction diagnosis the groups of drug consumers with and without diagnosis were compared. The drug consumers were in different stages of their drug carrier and can be regarded as representative in relation to different stages of the drug consumption. By means of a computer aided interview the following domains were assessed: family characteristics including drug problems of parents, social situation and relationships, aspects of attention deficits and hyperactivity as aspects of the ADHD syndrom, deviant behaviour in the childhood and childhood trauma. The later drug behaviour was assessed with three sections of the M-CIDI. After discussing basic problems in prediction a structure model of drug consumption was designed. The statistical analysis with a combination of survival analysis and logistic regression was carried out in 3 steps: (1) univariate analysis of single factors for, (2) Analysis of the different domains (3) final model with all significant factors of the domain models. Men and women were analysed separately. (Author's abstract.) (Author' s abstract) |
